Christmas at Grandma Sue's

On Christmas Day, we were at Kevin's Dads and we also went to his Moms. Here is the pictures from the visit to see Grandma Sue:

one of the best parts of the whole trip to Kevin's moms, I FINALLY got to see baby pictures!!! this picture of him yawning looks EXACTLY like Genesis does when he yawns. When i find a similar picture of Genesis, i will put them side-by-side to compare. :)

p.s. kevin... be glad i didn't put up the naked-baby-picture! haha!

Spoon!

Genesis ate his rice cereal from the spoon/bowl today! [how you're SUPPOSED to give it to them, verses just sticking it in the bottle] he took it VERRRRRRRRY well!!!

i made too much (or so i thought) but he ended up eating all of it! he'd open his mouth up when he seen the spoon coming [no helicopter noises for this little guy!] and would push the cereal around with his tongue and swallow!!!

i wish i had a picture, but was too excited at how good he was doing and just kept feeding him! i will do my best to get a picture of it tomorrow, when i try the cereal again!

yay!

December Growth Update

i haven't had him "officially" weighed/measured at the doctors office, but when i weighed him on the scale at Kevin's dads house, he weighed 16 [count 'em... SIXTEEN] whole pounds! if that is accurate, he has more than doubled his weight in 4 months time!


Genesis::

•has been feeling stuff with his hands, but it ends up being more like "scratching" at stuff :)

•has been doing this whole "mouth-wide-open" thing where he just opens his mouth as wide as he can, but never really says much. he wants to, though! lots of jibber-jabber going on.

•will pull himself up with your help.

•wants to sit up alot, if you set him down on his back.

•has been scratching at his diaper, and found his "pee-bird" for the first time today. haha!

•rolled over 99% of the way on christmas eve! couldn't pull his other arm under to complete the full turn, so he landed back on his back. ALMOST!

•sat up in the shopping cart the first time when my grandma && i went shopping at kohl's last week. (with the support of my adidas coat behind him!)

•got a walker for christmas, but can't quite reach the ground from it's lowest setting. about another month or so and he'll be zooming around!

•likes to taste whatever we are eating. [within reason, of course.]

•doesn't quite sleep through the night on a regular basis yet, but slept for 10 hours straight after being worn out from christmas!

•is growing up wayyyyy too fast on me! -- i think i say that every single day, but it's so true!!!

Santa Baby :)

Well, I took Genesis to have his Christmas pictures done at Olan Mills. They had drawn my name out of their "prize box" to have a free mini-package with one 8x10, one 5x7 and four wallets. He was pretty fussy the entire time we were there (and let me just tell you, IT WAS PACKED!!!) everyone in the store (meijer) was staring like they'd never seen a baby cry before... but once i took off some of the layers of clothes he was wearing, he was fine. He was sooooo tired! as soon as my Mom starting pushing him around in the cart, he fell right asleep.

Birthmark?

this is a little brown mark between his wrist and elbow, and i'm starting to assume it's a birthmark. guess we'll have to pay attention to it and see if it gets any bigger or darker, and see what the doctor has to say about it in january.

He found his hair :)

Genesis found his hair on Monday, November 30th; it's his newest sign of telling that he's tired :) it's been kinda hard to get a shot of him playing with it cuz his hands are all over the place moving around like crazy.




can't wait to see what he discovers next!

he can finally reach his toes, and lemme tell ya, he's ABSOLUTELY fascinated with them! he can't keep his hands off them



even when he's eating; he still wants to hold his toes.
